Born in Corvalis, Oregon and raised in Southwest Florida and Western North Carolina, Michael is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Asheville with a B.S. in Music with Recording Arts. Michael’s education and serving time in multiple music groups working on recording projects taught him how to write a song and record it on his own, assembling each song track by track. He started learning music on the drumset and studied percussion at the university before switching focus to guitar playing and songwriting/recording. Moves to Seattle, Nasvhille and Miami contributed to the musical influences and collaborators he would meet and work with over the decades. After a long period of live performances and keeping bands together, Michael decided to settle in Central Florida and start a family. After some time the desire to record the old songs and to write new songs continued to grow. As time permitted he started recording in his studio and became proficient with producing a new song approximately every month, writing the songs as he recorded them. It is time to publicly promote the best of his work. These songs are part of a legacy of learning and a tribute to musical collaborators that are still with us and those who have departed. Most especially the music is dedicated to the memory of his longtime bassist and record engineering collaborator, Your Scary Uncle Larry, Sean Shier.
